Shimmerstar's coat is mainly black, although she has a star-shaped white mark, which covers her chest. This marking is very important to her. She doesn't know why but she likes the marking a lot. Her eyes are a deep blue. Shimmerstar's eyes are perfect for the dark. Her eyes adjust to no light very fast and it helps her with hunting at night. Her pelt grows thick for the seasons of leaf-fall and leafbare, although it thins out to cool her in greenleaf and newleaf. You can never tell what she is thinking because of how cloudy and expressionless her eyes often get. Shimmerstar is larger than most cats her age, but her size isn't enough to cause fear unless you get her angry. Shimmerstar got her name because her coat always seemed to be shimmering. Her coat shimmers mostly at night. Shimmerstar believed this is because of the star on her chest.

If Shimmerstar gets enraged enough, anger clouds her judgment and she doesn't know what she is doing. It's a good thing she is so mellow, but not matter how mellow a cat is they all have there moments and get enraged very fast. Sometimes she gets so hyperactive she is clumsy enough to knock over even the strongest of warriors. When she was a kit, Shimmerkit was prophesied to become leader of WindClan and dreaded the fact. Although she dreaded it she did not think about it too much because she knew she was only a kit and the prophecy could change. Shimmerheart had always loved to hunt at night that is when she felt best about herself. She was completely invisible at night the only thing that could give her away was if the wind blew her sent right at the prey. Hunting is her favorite thing to do. It calms her down so she can go and rest the rest of the night. She first decided to hunt at night because she knew she was a great hunter and it is something that other cats would notice, she wanted to keep it secretive so they would think she is an average hunter and think nothing of it. During the day she caught the food necessary to feed the clan and at night she went and caught more for the morning meal. Shimmerstar and Autumnstar have become very close friends. This is strage since they are leaders of two different Clans

Shimmerkit and Moonkit were kitted to Violetfur and Shadowpelt. After two moons of their life, Shimmerkit was prophesied to become leader of WindClan. At the same time, Moonkit was prophesied to defeat the ShadowClan leader in battle. Both kits refused to accept their fates, as Moonkit believed that fighting was wrong and Shimmerkit didn't think she had leader quality in her.

Apprenticeship:
Shimmerkit became Shimmerpaw and was mentored by the warrior Silverstream. Shimmerpaw was far from what you would call a "normal" apprentice. She knew that she was suppose to become leader so she did everything she could possibly do to keep herself from becoming a warrior. Of course Shimmerpaw's plan had failed. She would become a warrior. As she was becoming a warrior her sister Moonclaw, already a warrior, died in battle with ShadowClan.


Warrior hood: Shimmerheart was a great warrior but did everything she could to avoid being noticed, so that when Sharpclaw(WindClan deputy) died, Shimmerheart would not be chosen to become Deputy. As hard as she tried her plan once again failed. She got her first apprentice, a bright young tom named Blackpaw. Shimmerstar trained Blackpaw very quickly, getting him his warrior name, Blackspot, at only 10 moons of age. Blackspot disappeared soon after, allegedly taken by twolegs. Shimmerheart was distraught by this, as she had become close to the little tom. Suddenly, Shimmerheart's plan not to become leader was in jeopardy. Sharpclaw had died of old age and sure enough, Blossomstar appointed Shimmerheart as deputy. Shortly after in an outbreak of Greencough both her parents died.

Deputy: Being deputy had changed Shimmerheart's life completely. She now started to accept the fact she would become WindClan's next leader, but she never got used to the idea and is still very reluctant. So when Blossomstar fell into the lake and lost her last life Shimmerheart became Shimmerstar.

Sitting in the leaders den Shimmerstar was thinking about why she was to be leader I'm not meant to be here... I know it She thought. What am I doing in this den with control of WindClan? Most warriors would die to become leader and are more worthy than I. Shimmerstar lay there thinking on this for a long time. It was one of her usual thoughts, and not a very pleasant one. She sighed, and closed her eyes to let dream-world take her in its grasp. "Shimmerstar! We are so proud of you. We knew you could do this you have always had good leadership skills" said Violetfur and Shadowpelt. "What do you mean? I never wanted this for myself. I never believed I could do this. It’s just not who I am I'm not a leader. I mean i wont step down but it's not what I wanted for my life." Shimmerstar started to stutter. "I..I don't think its what is best for WindClan. I really love being leader and all but it's just I don't know it dose not feel right, but it feels even more wrong stepping down." Violetfur looked at her daughter with a understanding look. "It is OK Shimmerstar you will find out if it is the right thing to do or not in time, but for now follow your heart and do what is not only best for the clan but yourself also." With these words Violetfur and Shadowpelt left her dream and Shimmerstar awoke. Confused by what her mother had told her she Slowly left the den. She stepped out into the opening and looked around she noticed the camp was inactive the there were a few whispers in the dens and nothing more. "Shimmerstar?" spoke the medicine cat. "I was just coming over to check on you. You have been in a slumbering state for a while." "I have?" questioned Shimmerstar. "Yes," purred the Medicine Cat "The clan was worried about you." "Please come into my den Medicine Cat I must tell you something" Answered Shimmerstar. They entered the den and Shimmerstar told The Medicine Cat about her dream. "I'm not sure what to make of it Shimmerstar. Even if I knew what it was about I'm not sure StarClan would want me to tell you. You must figure it out on your own what to do." Said the Medicine Cat "Thank you, you may go now" purred Shimmerstar. When Medicine Cat left Shimmerstar thought about what her mother had said and she realized what she meant "It is not only best for the Clan but being leader must be best for me to I do not have any reason to not be leader besides the fact that I don't want to be, but I must, that is what is best for the Clan and myself."
